Ramipril - Altace has received FDA approval to launch into the
US market in June 2000 after excessive clinical trials. The pill was
finally approved for present and future treatment. ACE inhibitor is
a drug, which is used particularly in controlling of high blood
pressure. Ramipril is marketed by Monarch Pharmaceuticals, Inc which
is a subsidiary of King Pharmaceuticals. It is commonly referred to
as an ACE. This angiotensin converting enzyme was originally
approved by the FDA in the year 1991 to use it for treating
hypertension in patients and then later FDA approved for the cure of
conditions like congestive heart failure that often appear in
patients that go through severe heart attacks.
Altace is among the pioneers of ACE inhibitors that have received
FDA approval. Altace reduces the danger of stroke and myocardial
infarction that result in death from cardiovascular reasons.
Particularly in patients over 55 years of age and having a history
with coronary artery disease or strokes, or in some cases,
peripheral vascular disease coupling with diabetes and or other
types of cardiovascular risk issues that arise mostly from cigarette
smoking.
Altace® (ramipril) received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug

and promising result. The manufacturer of this drug is not too
worried about the sales for the drug is effective and has proved its
worth.
